About Me:

Michael Tewfik, MD focuses his practice on adults and teenagers, age 15 and older. He also has additional training in medical orthopedics. He is also a part of Legacy's teaching faculty. Dr. Tewfik is recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and the American Diabetes Association (ADA) for providing quality care to his patients with diabetes. Dr. Tewfik is very thorough and capable, but he moves and talks very quickly. Personally, I like that, but I don't know if I would recommend that for friends or family. Maybe he works more slowly for patients who prefer that, I don't know.

He explains things really well. But when I brought up an example of what I experienced with my ear crud after not eating sugar for 3 weeks he apparently didn't think at first that it was relevant to the subject and urged me to stay on subject, whIch was diabetes. I explained to him that it was related. My question might have seemed to him a bit random in the overall context of the subject of diabetes.

The doctor was not aware I was there for an annual Medicare wellness check and didn't allow for more time. Why not? Fortunately, he was not too busy that day. Legacy records were not up to date on my vaccination records. Why not? My pharmacist said that's because the doctor's office has not retrieved the information from the national ALERT medical database.

Dr Tewfik has been my primary care doctor for many years and he has always provided the best care. He listens to my concerns, answers my questions in a way that is easily understood, recommends the right treatment for any health issues I've experienced. The reception and nursing staff are always very friendly, professional and courteous.

Dr. Tewfik is fantastic. My former primary care doctor recently retired. Dr. Tewfik saw me for this appointment acting as a substitute primary care doctor. He had studied my medical record very thoroughly. He was very well prepared to discuss my medical situation with me. I left very Impressed by Dr. Tewfik. I wish I could have him for my new primary care doctor.

Facility is terrible. Needs paint. Things are broken. Invest a bit. This is your reflection to patients. The lab used to be good, it is absolute terrible now. What changed?

Dr. Tewfik was kind and thorough. It was my first visit with him and I felt comfortable and well cared for. My questions were answered and his explanations were easy to understand. I would love to have him as my PCP when he is able to accept new patients.

I want to single out the person who took my appointment. She understood that I badly needed to get in and found a way to wedge me in the beginning of a clinic day. I explain my situation to her and she found a way to get me in to see the doctor That was excellent Customerservice. I wish I could remember her name.The M A, that took care of me in the room and gave me my vaccinations was very very good. I explain to her that I sometimes have trouble with injections And she understood and took special care to be quick and as painless as possible and also engaged in the conversation, I was trying to make to keep my mind off of it. Big thumbs up to her.

Called for a blood draw at the Hospital across the street and all of the appointments are filled up for 2 weeks ! Usually a 5 day lead is enough time to get in so the MD has my results in front of him when I have the appointment.

Agreed to combine appointments with my wife and me together. Thoroughly considered each of our medical and related conditions and concerns. Provided vaccinations each of us requested during our visit. Recommended and authorized additional testing for us to schedule. Allowed all the time as we needed for all of this service.

Dr. Tewfik is an excellent provider. I practiced as well and I think he's one of the best providers I've ever seen or had the pleasure to meet. He is thorough knowledgeable and truly cares about your situation. I think his practice is full so I can't refer anybody to him, though

Dr Tewfik is exceptional! He LISTENS, asks questions, offers suggestions, and is genuinely engaged. I've never felt rushed. He is a true, caring, healthcare professional. I wish you could duplicate him because I would refer him to EVERYONE.

I had a little of things to ask the Dr. I gothrough about 2/3 of the question and Dr Tewfik said that my apt. Was for 20 minutes and the time was up. He said he was sorry and that I should schedule a Medicare apt for longer time. It would be nice if I had been told at time of apt that it was for only 20 minutes.. I'm worried about the state of our health care system and the seemingly overworked Dr's and nurses.

Parking lot ticket machine not working.., visited the hospital lab one week and Dr Tewfik the following week. Both times the ticket exit machine failed to read my tickets. If it helps, was parked in the garage across from Dr Tewfik's office and both times I validated in Dr Tewfik's bldg lobby.. Even better, can someone figure this out and credit my account for $20. Thanks

Thoroughness of physician visit. Physician with excellent command of EMR to make that less of a hindrance for their visit with me, however still view requirement of EMR as somewhat antithetical to providing present' humanistic care.
