About Me:

Michael Tewfik, MD focuses his practice on adults and teenagers, age 15 and older. He also has additional training in medical orthopedics. He is also a part of Legacy's teaching faculty. Dr. Tewfik is recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and the American Diabetes Association (ADA) for providing quality care to his patients with diabetes. Hobbies include skiing, cycling, hiking, camping and photography.

Dr Tufik is absolutely the best doctor I have ever been to. He takes his time to explain thoroughly any concerns I may have, he is extremely knowledgeable and very kind. I would never go to another doctor!!!

Dr Tewfik always listens to my concerns, asks what questions I have at the beginning of my visit. He is thoughtful and explains everything thoroughly and asks again towards the end of the visit if I understand any and all instructions before I leave the exam room and if I have thought of any other issues during the visit that I need addressed.

Dr Tewfik is that rare medical professional who is both engaging and deeply knowledgeable. I have never visited without learning some valuable piece of information that relates positively to my health. Also, his knowledge of very capable providers within the Legacy system is fantastic. I'm super grateful to have him as my GP.

Dr. Tewfik is a good communicator. He gave me plenty of time to express my concerns. He made a number of helpful recommendations and referals. Most of my interactions with this provider and staff have been on MyHealth portal, not the telephone. The delay in seeing me in the exam room seemed to be because of a difficult situation with the previous patient and needing more time. The doctor takes the time needed to attend to his patients' needs.
