About Me:

Michael Tewfik, MD provides comprehensive primary care for adults and adolescents, with a clinical focus and additional training in orthopedics. He takes a thoughtful, whole‑person approach to care focused on preventative medicine. Dr. Tewfik is recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance & the American Diabetes Association for excellence in caring for patients with diabetes, reflecting his commitment to high‑quality, evidence‑based care. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Tewfik serves as a physician informaticist, bringing an innovative and detailed perspective to patient care. His work in informatics supports thoughtful use of clinical data, technology, and workflows to improve quality, safety, and efficiency in healthcare delivery for all patients of Legacy. Dr. Tewfik lives with his wife & Norwegian Forest Cat, Cleo & has 3 adult children. When he's not at work you can find him enjoying his favorite hobbies like skiing, cycling, hiking and photography.

I can not say enough good things about Dr. Tewfik, He is always so very good at listening to my issues and helping me understand what our treatment will be and why. He always remembers all my health history and always asked about it and how things are going. If I have lab work or send am email with questions, he is very quick to contact me with results or answers to my email questions. I have had many people tell me how lucky I am to have a doctor who really cares and listens, not sure what I would do without him as my Primary.

Dr. Tewfik is always thorough and never rushes our appointments. He checks to ensure He's covered all of your medical questions or concerns before ending the appointment. In my experience, that is very rare to find in a provider. We need more Dr. Tewfik's at Legacy.
