About Me:

Nathalie McDowell Johnson, M.D., FACS, is Medical Director of Legacy Cancer Institute, Legacy Breast Health Centers and a board-certified surgical oncologist with Legacy Medical Group. Prior to returning to Portland and Legacy Good Samaritan in 1996, she was Commissioner of Health for the Territory of the United States Virgin Islands. Besides her clinical practice, Dr. Johnson plays an active role in research projects related to breast cancer.

Great bedside, and appreciated flexible thinking in reconstructive options. Really so important to me to have female surgeons and providers. The care is so much better than with men

I noted that the wait time was longer than 15 minutes. When I got to the office, I was immediately informed that the office was running a little behind schedule. Also, I have recommended this office and provider to a family member who is currently being treated by this provider.

Dr Johnson is a gem- confident, knowledgeable, and positive. I'm healing well after her excellent surgery. Nurse was very knowledgeable and compassionate- I trust this office with my life.

Dr Johnson is Awesome, amazing outstanding. marvelous and most of all wonderful. She took the time to explain about what I had and what the procedure would be like. She made me feel so comfortable. She listened to my concerns and was so considerate. I love Dr Nathalie Johnson. Her staff was exceptional.

Dr. Johnson removed melanoma cancer from my leg. She made me feel at ease prior to surgery. She has a wonderful way with patients and her staff are readily available.

Caring, professional, doctor. Listens with both ears! Best Dr., in Portland. Very quiet, but intense and very caring. Treats you like you are the only patient she has. Makes you feel at ease and that no question is unimportant.

Dr Johnson sets the standard for the level of care Doctors should provide. She combines intellectual skill with emotional connection, plus has the temperament to make every single patient feel heard and valued. The office staff under her leadership had a warm professional attitude that Is rare In today's medical world. Dr. Johnson Is the gold standard.
