About Me:

Samuel Lau grew up in Hawaii before attending Creighton University in Omaha, NE where he majored in Chemistry. He earned his medical degree there on an Air Force scholarship and stayed on to complete his internal medicine residency in 1991. He then served four years at Barksdale AFB in Louisiana as an internist & chief of Internal Medicine until 1995. Dr. Lau then went back into training to become a cardiologist at Dartmouth (NH). After his interventional cardiology training was completed in 1999, he moved to the Oregon and practiced in Eugene & Springfield for 20 years. He and his extended family relocated to the Hillsboro/Portland area in 2019 to enjoy all the educational and cultural opportunities this area has to offer. Outside of work, his life is centered around his children, wife and father. They are fond of good books, movies and music, as well as trying out new recipes and exploring the Northwest.

Extremely pleased with the interest and knowledge of Dr. And courtesy of Assistant. The online info is incorrect as far as prescriptions taken. Gave info to Medical Assistant.

Knowledgable, helpful staff, obviously under staffed and over worked. Lead time from referral to actual appointment was ridiculous, human body is incredibly machine, durable and resilient. Will keep trying to stay alive, with some help from you.

Dr. Lau is very knowledgeable, personable and gives excellent advice when explaining how to best address my heart issues. He sees and treats the whole patient, not just his specialty. I am lucky and pleased to have him as my cardiologist. His MA, Beth Ann, is a joy to work with also.

This appointment was supposed to be rescheduled because the provider had a procedure that could go longer. Then the office called me back and did not reschedule but when I arrived I had to wait 45 minutes. I should have been rescheduled

The receptionist was fabulous as was the MA she went above and beyond to get my vital signs and test results. The doctor was also fabulous, he listened to me check ekg readings and related things to me that I can use as I advocate for myself and my well being.

It was my first visit Dr Lau had an ER call, which I totally understand, about 10 mins delay, Dr Lau is absolutely the best , I was very happy, everything was excellent

Dr. Lau and his staff are amazing. They are very caring, explain issues very well, and accept my decisions. It is difficult to contact the cardiology department by phone as no one answers, and you always have to leave a message for them to get back to you sometime in the future. This seems very inefficient.

It was a very good experience. I was extremely pleased with the doctor and the staff. I was so glad to learn that my heart was in good shape that I forgot to get my blood work done. So sorry.
