About Me:

Dr. Sasha Waldstein appreciates the opportunity to get to know patients and their families well so that she can provide guidance and support through a challenging time in their lives. She focuses on developing the best, individualized treatment plan for each person. She presents each patient with options and recommendations while taking the time to ensure that all their questions are answered. Dr. Waldstein treats a range of diseases but has a particular interest in prostate cancer, bladder cancer, and breast cancer, as well as bleeding and clotting disorders and myeloproliferative neoplasms, a group of blood disorders. She enjoys staying at the forefront of new treatment options. Away from medicine, she enjoys gardening and spending time with her husband and twin boys. She looks forward to taking her kids camping, swimming, hiking, and kayaking as they grow.

Training: Dr. Waldstein earned a bachelor of arts in biology at Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota. She earned her doctor of medicine at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, New York. She completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vermont. From there, she finished a fellowship in hematology and oncology, serving as chief fellow in her final year at the Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

I want my meds ordered at a nearby Safeway pharmacy rather than at Salmon Creek 10 miles away.

The doctor was very nice, patient and attentive to what I'm saying. She explained the medication/s and side effects of the medications.

I have very little confidence in this oncologist. I have extensive small cell lung cancer and the cancer has not progressed as expected. After a year cancer is stable but I feel horrible and am exhausted all the time. Dr says "I have no idea why you should feel so bad." Very little help other than maybe you should skip immunotherapy ".

First visit with a legacy outpatient doc. She was fantastic, caring and very knowledgeable. My hopes are up because I believe she will continue to find the problem and get me better.

Love Dr. Waldstein, she seems nice ,Knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. Ruby the nurse was wonderful , friendly, answered questions, was informative , and made sure my needs were met.

Got charged $20 to have Dr. Say she couldn't do anything without a current blood test. And I specifically asked lady who made the appointment if I should get a new blood test before appointment. She checked and said I didn't as I had one several weeks ago.

I am so truly thankful that Dr. Waldstein is my Oncologist!! She is thoughtful, caring, conscientious, and extremely knowledgeable. She and her staff are also very responsive to any messages on the My Health site, so if I do ever have questions, they are easy to reach and respond quickly and helpfully. Finally, I feel like she truly cares about her patients as individuals and listens to their needs. Dr. Waldstein is an amazing doctor, and I am so happy to be her patient!!
