About Me:

My practice philosophy stems from my humble Asian background, US training, and years of experience with patients and their families in all facets of their care - clinic, hospital, skilled nursing rehabilitation, and nursing home. I am thankful for having this opportunity to know them on a personal level, to understand their knowledge of their state of health, their fears, their concerns, their values, and their goals. My experiences also gave me a broad sense of what challenges we face today outside the walls of the doctor’s clinic- both from a doctor’s and patients’ and families’ perspective, and I like to work with them to overcome these challenges. I like my patients to think of me as their healthcare advocate. By holding each other accountable, I believe we can partner together to achieve one goal- that is, to attain optimal health and wellbeing.

Dr. Tan is always attentive and she listens to all of my concerns. I tend to be a little high strung when I have health concerns, but she always calms me w/her thorough explanations & treatment options/plans. Her demeanor is also very calming & reassuring.

Checking in online does not appear to change the lengthy questions that the front desk or nurse answer prior...I do not see a benefit of checking in online

Dr Tan knew exactly what it was within a second literally and prescribed me drugs and had me on my way quickly. In fact it took longer at Walmart getting the prescription filled that the whole time I was at the doctors office.

One of the tests I had done, I was told I did not need to wait for but results were done in a short amount of time. I called several hours later & they had no results, the person I spoke with seemed confused and was going to look into & call me back. This is the next day & I have not yet heard from anyone.

I thought the doctor was very knowledgeable and competent. She actually anticipated my needing a refill on a prescription drug that I would have overlooked. I was looking for a new Primary Care Physician, and I felt like I totally found the right doctor. I had three items I wanted to address in addition to the regular wellness check and she covered them all to my complete satisfaction.

Dr Tan rates an A+ for her listening skills. She also does well at explaining things medical, pertaining to me, in terms that are easy to understand. She does make a concerted effort also to understand her patient. She has, to date, been an excellent provider of my care and has done so in a timely manner. Switched to this Dr for primary care this year. Very happy with her and her office . My previous Dr was booked out for 4 months to get a routine physical. Dr Tan is personable, professional, and I was able to see her the very day I called with a health issue. Will definitely be staying with her! I was a Legacy nurse for 41 years.

Although the visit was scheduled as followup for a recent injury, Dr Tan took care to also review all my history since our last visit and discuss all ongoing issues and order various tests that are or will soon be due. I very much appreciated not having to wait for a separate appointment to address those issues. She made me feel that managing my health is very much a collaborative effort.
