Dr. Stephen Richardson was born and raised in the Vancouver area and is committed to giving back to the community as a compassionate physician. He listens to and partners with individuals to help them achieve their health goals, using the most up to date and evidence-based medicine available. He enjoys the breadth that family medicine can offer to people of all ages and walks of life. Stephen and his wife, Megan, enjoy spending time together pursuing their hobbies, and being actively involved in their church and community. Some of these hobbies include hiking, weightlifting, architecture and design, botany, music, art, running, traveling, reading, cooking, woodworking, and probably more to come.

If blood is being drawn, or tests done, they should be done BEFORE I am put in a room to see the doctor. We can't discuss results if tests are done after my visit. Doctors usually run late, why not use that time to run tests or take blood.

Excellent phlebotomist... I wanted to refer a friend looking for a doctor in the area; however I was told this location was not taking new patients.

The doctor didn't have all my health history from Kaiser and this hampered the effectiveness of the visit. Not certain if this is a Legacy issue or a Kaiser problem.

The doctor was friendly and answered my questions. I felt like he wasn't familiar with my last visit concerns. He didn't renew my prescriptions or ask if I still needed them. I sent a message in my legacy and it got done the same day so I was happy about that

Provider was around 30 minutes late to to an emergent condition that happened in the clinic I had the day off so I wasn't bothered but the entire visit seemed rushed and didn't seem like he truly cared about me as a patient it was very very brief and with my anxiety I didn't feel comfortable pursuing additional care, I had mentioned augmentin hadn't worked for me in the past and without any questions I was just prescribed augmentin again. I feel like there's a possibility I went while he was having a stressful day or something but I'm not brave enough to go and keep trying I'll just go somewhere else

My visit was good. I called day before with UTI symptoms have hx. Receptionist didn't try to help with a nurse triage had to wait 20 hrs for appt. Suggested urgent care. I felt very let down

Only bad comment is that the cost is prohibitive without health insurance. Over $400 for a 30 minute doctor appointment is quite frankly appalling. I have been going to this clinic for 25 years and am currently shopping for a new place due to the excessive cost.

The provider quickly skipped over my blood results, did not ask how I was doing, feeling. Made no attempt to learn about who I was or my history. I was shocked as it seemed his only interest was the pain meds I am prescribed to help me deal with my diagnosed ailments. I do understand the need of the medical community to monitor pain meds and how they are prescribed but I believe this conversation should take place at a later date as this was my 1st appointment with this provider.I don't want to leave Legacy Medical. I would very much like to find a doctor within Legacy. My search for a different doctor is as a result of my previous doctors retirement.All I would ask is that my perscriptions not be changed. I would not object to having a conversation about possible alternatives after getting to know the provider and the provider getting to know me.As I said earlier I was shocked by this first visit lack of a "good bedside manner".I now have concerns about all my perscriptions being a problem. Will someone refill my prescriptions while I make another appointment with another doctor? Are there other doctors taking new patients?Ive tried to the best of my abilities to convey my concerns about this unfortunate first appointment.

I complete the online pre check in but then when I checkin at the appt I'm asked to fill out a form that asks the same questions. Don't feel that's necessary. Just a FYI

All staff members were very courteous and helpful. There were issues with incomplete medical records from last provider, but I don't think this staff is responsible for that- past colonoscopy and Pap smear results could not be found in my record.

Dr Richardson is a great addition to the staff. I have been going to this clinic since the beginning and I have always enjoyed my providers there. His assistant Melinda is awesome. I can't say enough good things about them both.

Dr. Richardson exceeded my expectations. He was very kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. He demonstrated empathy and encouragement in reference to my recent health journey. He was very thorough in reviewing my chart and acknowledged that I've have been through a lot. He was very patient and made me feel comfortable.

When you call in, it's often difficult to get a response. Especially difficult to get prescription refills for a controlled S substance like Ritalin

Excellent care from this provider. I wish I was allowed a bit more time with doctor, I do tend to feel rushed. I'm very aware of their busy schedule. But sometimes I wish it was possible to book 2 appointments back to back as to allow extra time. Especially for a patient with chronic pain. It would help keep the pain level down. But the doctor was extremely helpful, kind, and professional-in the time allotted. Thanks!
