About Me:

Dr. Monroe is board-certified in internal medicine. She earned a medical degree at Oregon Health & Sciences University. She completed an internal medicine residency at Providence Portland Medical Center. Dr. Monroe enjoys getting to know her patients and their families, caring for the elderly and patients with complex and chronic medical conditions. Dr. Monroe was born in Ukraine and immigrated to Oregon as a child. Outside of work, Dr. Monroe enjoys pottery, knitting, running and cooking for friends.

Dr. Monroe is the very BEST PCP I have ever worked with! She make sure her patients feel comfortable, at easy and free to ask questions. She is VERY patient, thorough and respectable. She is the best listener who pays attention to what her patients have to say. She addresses the patients concerns and needs EFFICIENTLY and this has made each PCP visit so successful, smooth and with REAL results. All of needs are taken care of, all our questions are answered, all our concerns are addresses with REAL results!!!My husband and I feel so lucky to have Dr. Monroe as our PCP who we can trust 100%!We can't thank her enough for her dedication and efforts she puts in to help her patients stay safe and healthy. BEST PCP in town!!!

Honestly, Dr Monroe, the clinic, the staff, her team are all on such a high level of professionalism, it's hard to say anything negative at all. Dr Monroe is the best primary care Doctor I have ever had and I'm old so I have had a lot of PC's!!! I communicate with her via 'my health' and that system is almost flawless. I can't do video chats as there is something between my phone and back line phone numbers that my phone thinks are spam calls so I do not receive the calls. Other than that, the system works well for me. I also use my health for reading my test results and most tests seems to be available later that day. A few results are available within the next two days. I really like this system.

My husband, the patient, has dementia. Dr Monroe is a gem. She is consistently professional, easy to talk to, respectful of our time and caring. We feel fortunate to be in her care.

My visit with Dr Monroe was awesome! She was smiling as she came into the examining room .This made me very feel comfortable. I admire how she was attentive to me and listened to my ventures and great news I had to share since my last visit! She even asked me questions in regards to what I shared with her about family and friends. Her exam of me was easy and not uncomfortable. Discussed my blood pressure and what to do going forward. I always look forward to my annual visits to see her. She is a very professional and also compassionate. I enjoy my relationship with Dr Monroe and a big Thank you to her and her staff !!!

This appointment was an initial contact with Dr. Monroe as my potential PCP. My first impression is that she is approachable, no nonsense and caring. I am delighted to have found her. My short Interactions with the support staff are positive.

The ability of this doctor to see new patients is terrible,.my wife's Dr. Is retiring and there is no replacement and dr.Monroe can't take her as a patient.NOT GOOD

My visit was for a physical so I was surprised that the provider didn't check my ears or throat during the visit. Maybe that isn't done anymore but with my last PCP that was always done. Other than that the visit was as expected.

I have met this provider in-person once, to establish care and emailed through MyChart once for a referral. My original wait for the appointment was 6 months, which was cut to 10 weeks, due to a sudden opening and I was on a waitlist. I walked away from my initial appointment feeling unsettled and that I may have made a mistake selecting this provider as my PCP. She is capable but I found our exchange confusing, slightly off-putting, and a number of times since I have considered calling to ask if I would be allowed to change providers, but finding anyone to be your PCP is challenging and I want to be sure I haven't made a snap judgment. My second interaction was via MyChart to get a referral. Before writing I did my own research, found a provider, confirmed they were the correct place for my issue, and accepted my insurance. I wrote to my PCP and explained my request, the medical history that led me to need the referral (which was new information to her), gave her the referral-recommended document completion instructions, and asked if she wanted to see me or to just fill it out and notify me. Her response less than 24 hours later was one word, "Done." This is what I mean when I say she is competent. She is conscientious and efficient, which I appreciate, but I would also feel she is rather abrupt and I feel guarded and mildly anxious about anticipating a long-term medical relationship with her.I prefer the interim care provider Legacy assigned me to during the wait period for my first PCP appointment. I met with her a number of times in a short period due illness and injury, but a GoHealth urgent care branch isn't meant to be a substitute to a PCPs care. But I can't deny that I felt more comfortable with that provider.

Dr. Munro is one of the best communicative doctors I have ever had. She listens and she hears what you say. She has great bedside manner, and I have the upmost faith and confidence in her knowledge and her plans of action. She is an outstanding doctor.

Only the second time at this office and find everyone very nice. My doctor is very nice and is very sympathetic to my health needs. I was a patient at Kaiser Perrmanete and left their practice because of the lack of concern of my health.

My husband and I both saw Dr. Monroe recently to establish care. I was with my husband for his appointment as well. Dr. Monroe was thorough, kind, and professional. She spent ample time with both of us getting to know us and our health history. I am thrilled that she is our new PCP.

Dr. Monroe was an excellent listener and communicated well, including asking insightful questions. I am my daughter's mother and legal guardian; she is with one or both parents at any given time and does not function independently. Therefore, I answered the questions on this survey on her behalf.

One clarification: I routinely check test results in MuChart so I don't expect Dr Monroe or staff to call me about the results. Dr Monroe and I go over the numbers during the annual exam.

Everyone from the time I walked through the door until I left were very friendly, caring, and easy to talk to. Wait time to be called in for my appointment was very short. The assistant, Katie, was very kind and caring. This was my first visit with Dr. Monroe and she was very friendly and made me feel very at ease. I walked out feeling fortunate to have such a caring staff taking care of me.

I like Dr. Viktoria Monroe, but I feel she's over booked. Our meetings always end abruptly. I am hard of hearing and need her to slow down so I can be sure I heard everything and look at me when she speaks.

She pushed back on ordering an A1C online for me in response to a brief question from me. But when I came into see her and she understood my whole situation, she readily ordered the test. I think that was all appropriate on her part.

Dr. Monroe was empathetic, but efficient when dealing with my concerns. We took care of 2 complaints during my visit and will not need to schedule an additional appointment because of this. I appreciate the paper print out summarizing my visit.

Disagreed on BP medication level.There was a misunderstanding. Dr. Monroe cut med prescription in half, which I was doing when I weighed 170 lbs., now at 194 lbs. I wanted to resume to the original amount I've been on the last 40 years. Things went down hill from there and we parted ways.

This was my first visit to Dr. Monroe, as my previous primary physician moved out of town. I was extremely pleased with the people in the clinic and with Dr. Monroe. I am so happy to have found this doctor and clinic.

My experience with the provider was all good until it came to the in-office lab. I waited over 45 minutes after signing in and was unable to get in for the fasting blood without ever being able to get in. The woman behind the glass was very unpleasant, rude and had an attitude problem. She obviously hates her job. This woman made a pathetic excuse that the lab is not part of Legacy while being inside the Legacy building. This makes it a Legacy issue. I now have to again endure a 12 hour fast and make another trip to this office and make another attempt at a blood draw. Very inconvenient.

My only concern is that my medical records did not have current vaccines that I have had. When I went to Costco this morning to pick up recommended pseudoephedrine I asked for a copy of my vaccines. The person told me that the medical offices should be contacting the state for updates. I have had current Covid, Flu and RSV vaccines.

When I first got there the receptionist was trying to get me to sign a form that said I would be responsible for certain billing amounts because she had not gotten prior confirmation from my insurance company. I said I would not sign it so she offered to call them right then. I said thank you. I was a little confused on why that even had to happen. She then called me back to the window and said everything was fine.
