Dr. Monroe is board-certified in internal medicine. She earned a medical degree at Oregon Health & Sciences University. She completed an internal medicine residency at Providence Portland Medical Center. Dr. Monroe enjoys getting to know her patients and their families, caring for the elderly and patients with complex and chronic medical conditions. Dr. Monroe was born in Ukraine and immigrated to Oregon as a child. Outside of work, Dr. Monroe enjoys pottery, knitting, running and cooking for friends.

Because of my weight several friends have told me I must be pregnant. I asked for an ultrasound to determine if it was a boy or a girl. I did not receive the ultrasound requested.

this was my first visit as a new patient. my prior prescription (one of the survey questions) was not discussed at this office as it was antibiotics from another provider. I am a new patient to Dr. Monroe and this office. my experience was excellent and I am very glad I decided on this team, even after one visit. I am glad to say that I now have a regular Dr again, after many years.

Very good about going over medical history and talking about getting tests that were needed. This was my annual visit and the first time to see this doctor. I did not think the actual physical exam was as thorough as what I have experienced in the past.

After Dr Hohf retired I was so glad Dr Monroe became my new primary care doc. She is exceptional.

She has exceeded my expectation. The use of online messaging was long overdue and while it may require more after-visit time from GPs it greatly enhances my retention of important data and information provided by Dr Monroe. Dr Monroe has the rare ability to inform, encourage and demand - all done while displaying a quiet, friendly demeanor.

The staff at the clinic is professional and Dr. Monroe is easy to talk with.I do ,however, have problems with the legacy automated systems as a whole. Long wait times on the phones. Continual problems with logging onto the web portal that Legacy always tries to force you into to to do anything . Funny to hear that the website assistance office is only open for a typical business day to help!!! THis frustration was so high I called to complain with Legacy HQ. It was Ironic that I could not find any number to call for customer service and speak to someone I finally called the billing department as I knew they WANTED to take a call assuming I was trying to send Legacy $. I ended up speaking to a mgr about my issues and concerns. I emailed them a list of issues i had recently experienced. To date all i ever got a response back was from the IT department re: my log in issues. When mentioning my struggles with the system, and the phone, several people stated that they heard that quite frequently. I want to say THAT ONCE I GOT TO SOMEONE THEY WERE PLEASANT AND PROFESSIONAL. I find your systems and vendors disjointed and not effectively linked.

Dr. Monroe is a great doctor to me! My health issues make me anxious and Dr. Monroe ordered X-rays and referred me to another doctor to help me.

Unscheduled visit due to an "eye" problem...needed to solve prior to long trip out of the US....GREAT people, new to me, as my regular doctor in the same office was unavailable..

There was conflict about number of pills to prescribe. The doctor initially refused to call for 93 pills as allowed by the insurance. She claimed that 90 pills would be enough to 360 days until the next year. The first group of prescriptions was limited to 90 pills. This is a problem as a year has 365 or 366 days and has led to problems of running out of pills before the next exam. I had to go back to the office after noting that she didn't renew three prescriptions. This time she allowed for 93 pills, and apparently better understands the issue.

Every one in this office was courteous, friendly and patient. Dr. Monroe is always a 100% present when interacting and provides the time needed for explaining and reviewing. She is an excellent Doctor, with great social skills. A gem.

Dr. Monroe is attentive and courteous. She seems to understand the basics of geriatric care, which I appreciate. She spent an appropriate amount of time on all my questions. Not much small talk -- no time, I understand - [details deleted to protect privacy]. Nurse Kim was helpful. Re. office forms, Please allow for more than two contacts to be given permission to see my medical records. Two is not enough. Used to be up to four at old location.

This was my first visit to a primary physician in many years. I felt comfortable and like she was really trying to understand me. I appreciated her feed back and have already booked my return appointment along with other appointments she has recommended.

Dr. Monroe has been an excellent doctor for me (I am also a medical doctor). She is very knowledgeable and competent, caring and compassionate, efficient and easy to talk to. Her MA Kim is also very helpful and pleasant, competent and efficient! Thank you very much, Dr. Monroe and Kim!

one missed text for the previous time and I came for my appointment and found out that she was out Not here for appointments. I only blame the communication method. My message was delayed more than 12 hours.

It was all good. Dr. Monroe is a great Doctor. She's very caring, helpful, kind, and listens to what I have to say. She never makes me feel bad about myself.

Dr. Monroe and her assistant Kimberly were very thorough. I have a unique set of issues and they took lot's of time to listen and guide me. I have complete trust and confidence in Dr. Monroe. When she transitioned over to the new Legacy practice I was considering looking for another doctor. I'm glad I stayed with her!

establishing primary care physician. Timely scheduling. Short wait time in modern and comfortable office building. Great parking. Dr. V. Monroe is a very pleasant person. Mapped out a strategy to bring me up to date and scheduled test that could be completed the same day. Other tests are farther out but have been scheduled. Liked her nurse as well. Overall pleasant experience from beginning to end.

The first young assistant who tried to get blood from me wasn't very good.However she did only poke me once like she promised before she got someone else who did find the vein.

This is my first visit and I was impressed with courtesy of the staff and timeliness of the appointment. I have moved to NW Portland from [location deleted] so I needed to change to a new doctor who was highly commended by Dr. Laidley as I wanted to be close to St. Vincent Hospital for any treatment I would need in the future.

It was a good annual physical appointment with Dr. Monroe, her medical assistant, the front office staff, and the blood lab staff also. [details deleted to protect privacy] Overall, as always with this clinic since the late 1980's it was an excellent experience. I've retired two primary care Dr's. there, and am very happy to have Dr. Viktorica Monroe. Thank you.

I received a next day phone call from Dr. Monroe's assistant regarding results of blood tests. Great service! I also had some follow up questions I posted on "My Chart." Dr. Monroe responded in less than two hours. Again, great service.

I am unhappy that Providence Health Plan will not allow me to use the lab services provider used by my clinic, but insists I separately visit a Providence lab to have blood and other samples taken. This is a restriction imposed by Providence for cost reasons.
