Retinal specialists provide care, surgery

The retina is a thin tissue that lines the inside back wall of the eye. It collects all the light that enters your eye and turns it into electrical signals that are returned to the brain, creating visual images. The vitreous is a clear gel that fills the back cavity of the eye and is attached to the retina.

The retinal specialists at Legacy Devers Eye Institute provide superior care for all diseases of the retina and vitreous, including:

  • Macular degeneration
  • Diabetic retinal disease
  • Retinal detachment
  • Macular hole
  • Epiretinal membrane
  • Retinal vascular occlusion
  • Vitreous hemorrhage

Diagnosis and treatment

We offer a complete retinal evaluation using the latest imaging equipment and are able to treat many conditions in the office. When surgery is needed, we operate at Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center using the most advanced retinal surgical technology.
