Respiratory patients who endured weeks of bad air have been urged to remain vigilant to avoid getting sick.

The irritations caused by the smoky conditions can cause inflammation and lead to serious infections like bronchitis and pneumonia.

COPD is now the 3rd leading cause of death in the United States. Half of the people who have it, don't know it.

That's why Salmon Creek patient Darlene Hunt decided to talk to the media from her hospital room this past week.
