About Me:

I was born in Hong Kong but grew up in Hillsboro (where my family still lives).I chose to go into family medicine because I enjoyed taking care of the full spectrum, from infants or geriatrics and getting to know patients as a person, not just a diagnosis, and how they feel about it, not just how I want to treat them. I also enjoy working the full scope of medicine from head to toe and working with illness as it affects the whole, not just the organ. I also have much experience from residency working around barriers to care such as cost, coverage, and distance for my patients to ensure they get good care. I plan on in my practice in addition to medicine doing small skin lesion removals, large joint injections (knee, shoulder), and gynecological exams, including IUD placement and removal. While in Virginia I was a member of the AAFP as well as the state Medical Society of Virginia and the local Lynchburg Academy of Medicine.
