Legacy Health names two new hospital presidents

PORTLAND, ORE. – January 16, 2023 – Legacy Health recently named two new presidents to local hospitals:

Kevin O’Boyle is the new president of Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center, overseeing the hospital’s vision, standards, and operations. Mr. O’Boyle brings to Legacy more than 20 years of hospital administration experience, including senior-level tenures at the University of Chicago Medicine and Oregon Health & Science University. He holds a BS degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University and a graduate degree in health services administration from the University of Kansas.

Bahaa Wanly has been selected to become the president of Legacy Emanuel Medical Center. Wanly most recently served as president of Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center. Before coming to Legacy, he served as a chief operating officer and chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer at Salem Health Hospital and Clinics. Earlier in his career, Wanly spent several years in leadership roles at the University of Washington Medical Center and Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, WA. He holds a master’s in health administration from the University of Washington, a BS in health administration, and a BA in Ethnic Studies, both from Oregon State University.
