Legacy Health Relocates and Expands Woodburn Imaging Services
Legacy Imaging will increase access to MRI, mammography and X-ray services throughout north Marion County.
WOODBURN, Ore. – (May 28, 2025) – Legacy Health is pleased to welcome patients to its relocated and expanded imaging clinic located inside the Woodburn Health Center. Appointments are now available for all services.
Legacy Imaging at the Woodburn Health Center offers MRI, ultrasound, dexascan, mammography, CT, X-ray, and fluoroscopy services, all in an expanded 8,133-square-feet facility that is employing state-of-the art technology.
“What really stands out about this facility is the advanced technology and the thoughtful setup of the space – both which will provide a great patient experience,” said Joe Yoder, President of Legacy Health’s Willamette Valley Region. “I think patients who have experienced feelings of anxiety during the MRI process will find this facility to be particularly unique.”
It is not uncommon for people to feel a sense of anxiety during an MRI, as the chamber can induce claustrophobia. The tests can often take nearly an hour and be quite loud, as MRI machines tend to emit high intensity sounds.
“In this facility, we have added a wider MRI exam table and a shorter chamber. It’s located in a large room filled with natural light. And we’ve got new technology that shortens the scan times. For example, an MRI of the hip once took about 26 minutes. Now it takes just under 5,” Yoder explained.
In addition to the advanced MRI technology, the imaging center has added additional mammography and X-ray machines.
“Patients are experiencing longer wait times for imaging, and as we all know, imaging is something no one wants to wait for. This expanded facility will help alleviate some of the backlog and increase access to care in the area,” Yoder said. “It’s a valuable addition for our community and health partners.”
Same-day and next-day appointments are available for many services, including walk-in X-ray services.
