Midwifery

Experts in women's health care

Women have unique health care needs throughout their life cycle, not just during pregnancy and childbirth. The nurse midwives at Legacy are experts in women’s health care needs.

For more than 25 years, Legacy Medical Group–Midwifery and Legacy Medical Group—Women's Health have provided compassionate care to suit our patients' cultural preferences, lifestyles and medical conditions. Our comfortable, full-service clinic is dedicated to you and your needs throughout your pregnancy, during your delivery and for your post-partum care.

Best of both worlds

Having a baby is a natural, one-of-a-kind experience, unique to each mom and baby. We are dedicated to you and your needs throughout your pregnancy, during your delivery and for your postpartum care. We are one of only a few providers offering hospital-based water birth. Our midwifery births take place at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center and Legacy Silverton Medical Center, giving you the best of both worlds: an intimate environment to give birth in, just down the hall from experienced obstetric (OB) hospitalists. If specialized newborn support is ever needed, your care can be continued at our regionally renowned Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Randall Children's Hospital at Legacy Emanuel.
