At Legacy Health, we are deeply committed to providing safe, affirming, culturally competent health care services and support to all families.
We are currently offering live webinar-based classes along with e-classes for childbirth, newborn care, and breast/chest feeding basics.
Which option is right for you?
We want to help you build confidence for the big day so you feel prepared. Our online class is facilitated by Legacy Health educators, offering instructive videos, animations, and discussions. Learn what to expect during labor, birth and immediately postpartum and ask questions along the way. Now available in two formats.
3-week virtual or in person series: Weeknights
Class meets for three consecutive weeks; class is 2.5 hours each week (6 p.m.-8:30 p.m.)
One Day Saturday Seminar in person only: 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (Locations vary)
Class meets for a one-day Saturday seminar; breaks and a no-host lunch break provided
Comfort and Coping for Labor:
Can't attend a full childbirth class series or just want a refresher class? This in-person, hands on class is ideal for first or fifth time parents! Learn and practice positions for labor and birth, coping techniques and relaxation to help you prepare for your baby. Practice quick mindful techniques to improve deep relaxation and help make your birth experience better.
This live, online course is highly recommended for all grandparents! Whether you live near or far away from your grandbabies, this class will help you explore
Newborn Essentials and Breast/Chest Feeding Basics - webinar
Learn the basics of newborn care and breast/chest feeding in this condensed online class.
Legacy Family Birth Center -in-person tours
We have scheduled tours every month (free!). Learn from our health educators when to go in, where to park, current policies, and ask questions along the way. Baby and Me - group
welcome all parents and babies ages 0-12 months! Groups meet in person every
week! This event is free to all families
E-classes (self-learning, online)
Legacy offers self-learning options for online childbirth, breastfeeding and mother and baby care classes. Trusted education, your way. Learn essential information when, where, and how you prefer from a mobile device, tablet, or personal computer.
Understanding Your Multiples:
Expecting more than one baby? In this E-class, you’ll learn all about the pregnancy and birth process for multiples, ways to prep your family and home, strategies for bed rest, options for birth, delivering in the operating room, NICU stays, and how to breastfeed more than one baby with evidence-based tips from experts. It takes about 4 to 6 hours to complete the class.
