About Me:

Dr. Alexandra Makenzie is fellowship-trained in shoulder and elbow surgery and has advanced expertise in treating the full spectrum of conditions that affect these vital joints. She is passionate about restoring mobility, relieving pain, and helping patients return to the activities that define their lives—whether that’s sports, work, or everyday movement. She completed the Cincinnati Shoulder and Elbow Fellowship, where she received specialized training in joint replacements, complex reconstructive procedures, and minimally invasive techniques. This focused expertise allows her to care for patients with both routine and challenging shoulder and elbow problems. Dr. Makenzie listens closely to individuals, tailoring treatment plans to their goals and lifestyle. She values the long-term relationships she builds with her patients and takes pride in guiding them through recovery and back to the things they love.

Training: Dr. Makenzie earned a bachelor of science in biological sciences at the University of California, Irvine. She completed a master of science in biomedical science at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado. She went on to earn a doctor of osteopathic medicine at Rocky Vista University of Osteopathic Medicine in Parker, Colorado. She completed her orthopedic surgery residency at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis, Oregon, before pursuing fellowship training in Cincinnati, Ohio.
