About Me:

Dr. Nelson is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery and cartilage restoration. He earned a medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences–COMP. He completed residency at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis, OR, with core rotations at Oregon Health and Sciences University, Shriners Hospitals for Children, and Legacy Emanuel. He completed a sports medicine fellowship at Hoag Orthopedic Institute in Southern California, with coverage of multiple NCAA, USA, and professional teams and athletes. Dr. Nelson’s passion is to provide compassionate and comprehensive orthopedic and sports medicine care, no matter his patients’ age, activity level or injury.

Dr Nelson is an amazing human, he has a wonderful bedside manner. He knows when to make physical contact and make humor a way to connect. The man knows his stuff and the staff at the Keizer Oregon facility are amazing. There's basically no wait time, I was actually upset when you changed it to a different type of facility but they still uphold the top level customer care. I'm picky but if I had to go to another facility I would most likely switch Medical Health Care. They're wonderful people treat them like that

Dr. Nelson is spectacular. He genuinely wanted to take the best care of me he could. He answered all my questions 100% and made sure I understood and was so confident and reassuring each time. I had so many questions and he didn't rush me out of the office because he was busy, which I'm sure he was. If I could give a grade, A+. Thank you, Dr. Andrew Nelson!
