About Me:

Dr. Healy will be leaving the clinic at the end of July 2026. Patients who are currently scheduled to establish care with her will be contacted with additional scheduling options. Current patients of Dr. Healy's are encouraged to establish care with her partners within Legacy Medical Group Northeast, including Dr. Lawson, Dr. Virtue, or Caitlin Laman, PA‑C, to ensure continuity of care. Dr. Healy is a board‑certified internal medicine physician who takes a thoughtful, evidence‑based approach to care. She does not co‑prescribe opioids and benzodiazepines and is conservative in the use of controlled substances, preferring safe, sustainable treatment strategies—particularly for chronic pain and other long‑term conditions. Outside of work, Dr. Healy enjoys outdoor adventures, biking around Portland, and crafting intricate miniatures. She lives with her partner, a cat, and a small flock of backyard chickens.

In the 60 years of my profession as a minister I have had the opportunity and privilege of working quite closely with members of the medical profession. As in all things there are those who significantly standout more so than others. As a physician and health care provider and just a compassionate, caring person, Dr. Healy comes to the top of the list. When it comes to being seen and valued as a person first and foremost and not just as a patient, which I am, Dr Healy excels. Every question and concern that I have ever expressed to Dr Healy has always been heard and received with the greatest of care and consideration. She Is very deliberate In the framing of her diagnosis and prognosis that has been well thought through and then delivered with sensitive and compassionate concern that the Information has been both received and understood. Never have I ever experienced one once of arrogance, authoritarianism or dismissiveness from Dr. Healy. She emanates, however, trustworthy authority and professionalism. She has a very sharp wit, is extremely bright and she truly has a compassionate and caring heart. A rarity, sadly, these days. It is extremely obvious that she is a perfect fit for what is needed to be a five star, triple A health care provider. I know I speak for my partner as well that she and I both agree that Dr Healy has our greatest appreciation, profound gratitude and deepest trust in her counsel and guidance as our Primary Health Care Provider. We feel really fortunate to have Dr Healy as our health care general manager especially since this has not always been our experience with other health care providers who pale in comparison. On a scale of 1-10 we without hesitation give her a 15! Thank you for this opportunity to give credit where credit is definitely due.
