About Me:

After completing medical school at the Medical College of Virginia, I started my journey west. I completed my surgical residency at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque and then spent 11 years in general surgery practice in Santa Fe. Although my family and I loved the weather and mountains in New Mexico, we decided to relocate to be close to our family here in Portland. Here, we can still can enjoy the outdoors, but also have access to great schools and a thriving city. Working in general surgery, no two days are the same. My practice includes surgery of the colon, breast, abdominal cavity and hernias, as well as thyroid and parathyroid surgery. It has been an incredibly rewarding career — I have the privilege of being with patients from their diagnosis through completion of their therapy, which allows me to get to know each patient very well. I am looking forward to enjoying all of Oregon’s seasons. In my free time, I like to ski, snowboard, kite surf and mountain bike.
