Patient Rating

Legacy wants every patient to have great care, every time. To help measure and improve patient satisfaction, we send surveys to randomly selected patients after their appointments. We use this feedback from the surveys to improve and enhance the care we offer. It works like this: Real patients give us feedback through Press Ganey, a patient satisfaction survey company. They verify and confirm the results. National Research Corporation, an independent company, provides the technology to show the ratings and comments on our website

The receptionist was not very friendly, and Dr Coleman was very aloof and did not have a good bedside manner. I was disappointed in the lack of manners from some of the staff and most of them seemed very cold and uninterested.

It was a lovely visit for a very hard and scary topic. I felt well cared for and supported. Dr Coleman was able to clearly answer my questions and concerns. There was a small misunderstanding on my end about how billing would work for the appointment but it was explained very nicely by the helpful front desk. I would recommend this clinic in the future.

Honestly, this was the first time I have been to Legacy Maternal and Fetal feeling like there wasn't a firm grasp on my history or maternity plan moving forward. Dr. Coleman was very nice but seemed like he either didn't read my records or didn't align with the consistent information I received from previous providers. When I let him know that previous providers have recommended that I be induced at week 39, he said "well what do you want to do?" and then gave me this strange analogy about the risk we take when driving and comparing it to the risk of still births. At this point in the game, I want my provider to provide me with clear action for our birth plan. I am not the medical expert. I just want this baby here safely considering this pregnancy was a small miracle to begin with. While looking at my medical history he had the audacity to ask me if I plan to have another baby after this without taking my previous fertility struggles in mind. Why...why would this be a question? I then said well this pregnancy was a miracle so uh, no sir. He then goes on to well 1 in 5 pregnancies end in miscarriages and despite my history I could probably do it if that were my plan. All my previous providers have approached this situation with sensitivity and empathy. I was just so over it at this point that I just wanted to leave. Then when I'm checking out, he comes back while I'm trying to schedule my last appointments and then asked about fetal testing and stress tests. Again, all my previous providers told me that I would be coming in every week after a certain date for ultrasounds and fetal stress tests and I told him that. He then says "Well what do you want to do?" and then goes in to I WANT MY PROVIDER TEAM TO HAVE A CLEAR AND COHESIVE PLAN ON THAT. I left feeling discouraged and frustrated. This is not the experience I want moving forward. I plan to call and reschedule all my remaining appointments to one doctor to ensure some sort of consistent plan moving forward. Dr. Coleman is very nice but he needs to be on the same page as the rest of his team, not treat women with recurrent miscarriage histories so flippantly, and have clear direction. I would also advise him to take some time to review patient records prior to the visit rather than doing it during the appointment.

Dr. Coleman was amazing. I've seen 3 other providers for my current pregnancy and none of them were supportive in the way Dr. Coleman was. He's made me feel like I am truly in control of my pregnancy and labor which is exactly what I was needing. He gave me facts, but no scare tactics about any possible risks. I'm very glad I've switched to him and wish I would have seen him with my last pregnancy as well.

Dr. Coleman took the time to talk me through the pros and cons of the recommended prescription medication for me. I felt confident in his knowledge and the decision we came to. I also felt that he would have respected my decision if I had gone a different route.
