About Me:

I have been practicing midwifery since 2010 and in that time have been privileged to attend over 700 births. I believe a woman should be comfortable with her provider and that she and her provider should have a trusting relationship with open communication. I started out at PCC, transferred to and graduated from U of O and went to Columbia University for nursing & midwifery. After graduation from Columbia, I practiced in the Philadelphia area for five years where I gained invaluable experience and since starting with the Legacy Health System in 2015, I've gained even more experience and insight into how best to care for women and their families. In my free time, I enjoy many outdoor activities, including running, hiking, camping, skiing, paddling and mountain biking - many of these activities include my husband and our two German Shepherds. I love being an Oregonian, the Pacific Northwest is an amazing place to be outdoors.

She is great. 1st time in an extremely long time I have left a doctors visit not feeling bad about myself

First time seeing Heather. I scheduled an appointment to have a pap smear and IUD removal. She was noticeably upset and dry when I asked for a recommended method of contraception that was not hormonal. She sis not perform the pap smear and removed the IUD. She was not kind or respectful of my preference by showing any empathy. Not aware of cultural differences and not open to dialog at all. I arrived late to the appointment and I don't think that was the reason. My daughters in the room were appalled about the lack of good service or care. The rest of the staff was awesome as always. She could have stated her point but also provide next steps or info about non hormonal methods. She said the insurance does not cover those and thst I can find info and purchase online.

I came for my yearly annual exam I have done for the past 20 yrs. Delivered my child clinic and Legacy. I had to get a new doctor because mine left due to the FBC nonsense. The new midwife said she is unable to do my basic yearly blood work because it was not in her scope of practice like the MD. What? She also basically refused to do my annual exam because recommendations are every 3-5 years even though that is what my appointment was for. My insurance pays and I requested it then why won't an OB office do it? I left with nothing done. Why was this not mentioned when I made the appointment?

Heather is the literal best provider I've ever had. I honestly look forward to my appointments and that's saying a lot considering the nature of my visits with her. Very happy. Please get a contract with blue cross blue shield. I would not be able to find someone else like Heather.

She was so nice. I liked how she was courteous to my concerns and she walked me through everything before doing anything. She also was so kind and let me stop any procedure at anytime for no reason. She really put me first and I loved that.

Heather Carrion was great. She always takes the time to listen and answer any questions. She has excellent bedside manner, and makes me feel at ease. The whole staff at the office was also very kind and respectful. Please work out the issue with Regence Blue Cross so I can continue to come here

I guess I was a little surprised to find out that the girl that did my annual was only a midwife. I've always had a doctor but she was very good and seemed very knowledgeable. I felt very comfortable with her and I would see her again.

This provider always makes me feel really comfortable in what could be awkward situations. I really appreciate the way she approaches exams and explains what she's doing every step of the way.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Heather. She is absolutely incredible. Heather is so kind with her words and extremely generous with her time. She listens, she's informative, she leads with complete compassion. One of the best physicians I've ever interacted with.

Dr. Carrion was wonderful. I was nervous and after she came in and we talked for a bit I wasn't so nervous. She made me feel like I was being listened to and was comfortable asking questions. I appreciate her and the information she shared.

This was my first time seeing this provider however I've been coming to this clinic for over 10 years. I had to choose a new provider and was extremely happy with my choice.

I did have to wait 45 minutes after my appointment time to see my provider, but outside of that it was an extremely positive visit. I couldn't ask for a better care team.
