About Me:

The joy of making a difference in a child's life is what initially drew Dr. Yu to pediatric ophthalmology. She treats a variety of visual and medical eye disorders, from prescribing glasses to performing surgery. As a mother herself she knows how to make the child and parent feel comfortable. Both her patients and their parents appreciate her personalized service and experience. Raised in the Midwest, she obtained her medical degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City combined BS/MD program. After moving to Chicago for her ophthalmology residency, she completed her fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. She was in private practice in Colorado Springs before she joined Child Eye Care Associates in 2003. Dr. Yu is board certified in ophthalmology and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, and the Oregon Academy Ophthalmology. She is on the medical staff of Legacy Emanuel Hospital, Randall Children's Hospital, and Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. In her free time Dr. Yu enjoys exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest and traveling with her husband and two children.
