About Me:

Dr. Chung has over two decades of experience in complex cataract surgery and advanced lens implant technology. She was lead cataract surgeon and Director of Comprehensive Ophthalmology at Casey Eye Institute (Oregon Health & Science University) for 14 years. She sees many patients with cataracts, diabetes, glaucoma, macular degeneration and other conditions and has a special interest in not only cataract surgery but also treating dry eye and meibomian gland dysfunction. Dr. Chung joined Oregon Eye Specialists in 2009, and is board certified in ophthalmology. Dr. Chung received her M.D. from Loma Linda University, where she also completed her ophthalmology residency. Dr. Chung has taught comprehensive ophthalmology and cataract surgery to dozens of residents, and instructed eye surgeons around the world in new techniques. Portland Monthly magazine named her one of Portland’s top doctors three years running.
