About Me:

Melissa Koziol, MPAS, PA-C, grew up in Detroit, Michigan, where she developed an interest in medicine at an early age. She graduated from Wayne State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She has worked in a variety of healthcare positions, assisting in clinical research at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas and as a practitioner for a medical mission in Jinotega, Nicaragua. She graduated from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2017. She continued her education and completed a Postgraduate Surgical Residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland in 2018 and has five years of experience working as a Surgical PA. She is happy to be a part of the Foot & Ankle team and remains invested in compassionate and empathetic care of the patient and family as a whole, with emphasis on patient education, advocacy/support, and restoring quality of life.
