About Me:

Prior to becoming a certified nurse midwife, Renee Beninger, CNM, FNP worked for five years as a registered nurse and spent most of that time on staff at Providence Portland Medical Center. Renee completed her bachelor of science in nursing at Oregon Health Sciences University and her master’s program in nurse - midwifery at Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing at Case Western Reserve University. Renee works at Southwest Family Physicians providing routine gynecological checkups, annual exams, family planning services and counseling, preconception care, comprehensive prenatal care and birth planning, attends deliveries at both Providence and Legacy Hospital, provides breastfeeding support, and routine postpartum care with an interest in postpartum exercise and strength training. Renee also practices Family Medicine, after receiving her FNP degree in 2013.
