About Me:

As a cardiologist, Dr. Abra Guo views her role as a trusted advisor—offering expert guidance while empowering patients to live their healthiest lives. She takes the time to understand individuals’ unique concerns and needs. This approach allows her to effectively partner with patients to treat acute and chronic cardiac issues. Dr. Guo has a special interest in cardio-obstetrics and women’s cardiovascular health and enjoys partnering with maternal fetal medicine clinicians to care for pregnant patients. She designed a 12-month curriculum for her final year of cardiology training to obtain this expertise, as there are currently no formalized accredited training programs in this subspecialty in the US.

Training: Dr. Guo earned a bachelor of science in neuroscience and a bachelor of science in French and Francophone studies at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She earned a doctor of medicine at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. From there, she completed her residency in internal medicine at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. She went on to complete her cardiology fellowship at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
