About Me:

Dr. Chiou completed undergraduate studies at Duke University before attending the University of Nebraska Medical Center for medical school. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of California, Davis, where he developed an interest in structural and interventional cardiology. Dr. Chiou completed his general cardiology fellowship at Scripps Clinic in San Diego, where he pursued his research interests under the mentorship of Dr. Eric Topol. His work focused on using artificial intelligence and coronary computed tomography angiography to improve the diagnosis of coronary artery disease and predict new-onset atrial fibrillation. His research was recognized with the Ruben F. Gittes Award for Excellence in Research by a Fellow in Medicine for two consecutive years. He subsequently completed his Interventional Cardiology fellowship at Stanford University, where he received advanced training in complex coronary interventions.
