About Me:

Anya Bailis, MD received her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine and completed both her OB-GYN residency and Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and by virtue of her recent fellowship graduation is Board Eligible in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Dr. Bailis served in the Peace Corps in Chad, Central Africa and has returned to Africa to provide medical care since her initial service. She has developed an interest in treating HIV positive pregnant patients. During her fellowship she co-managed the HIV-OB clinic at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She has written chapters on hypertension in pregnancy, isoimmunization and HIV. At the Legacy Center for Maternal-Fetal Medicine she enjoys the variety managing all aspects of pregnancy from prenatal diagnosis to labor & delivery. She spends her free time with her growing family outdoors exploring her new hometown.
