About Me:

Dr. Brian Beldowicz came to Legacy after 17 years as a surgeon in the US Army, assigned to Special Operations’ Joint Medical Unit since 2012. He has multiple combat deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria and has been recognized with the Bronze Star Medal three times. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma and was recognized by that organization as a Future Trauma Leader in 2017. He is a certified instructor and course director for numerous trauma and critical care training programs including ACLS, ATLS, BEST, ASSET and RTTDC, and he earned a Master’s Degree in Bioethics & Health Policy from the Neiswanger Institute for Bioethics at Loyola University – Chicago where he also attended medical school. Dr. Beldowicz is an avid reader, writer, and traveler and is presently developing a small business with his wife who is a winemaker.

Training: Dr. Beldowicz completed his surgical residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA, and his Trauma / Critical Care Fellowship at University of California – Davis in Sacramento.
