About Me:

Dr. Houng enjoys all aspects of foot and ankle surgery. However, he is particularly passionate about flatfoot deformity correction, trauma care, arthroscopy, and total ankle replacements. Dr. Houng’s love of basketball and fitness, plus an ongoing interest in sports medicine, propelled him to pursue a career in foot and ankle surgery. He started his education at the University of California, San Diego, where he earned a bachelor of science in human biology. He earned master of science degrees in biomedical science and health administration and a doctor of podiatric medicine at Rosalind Franklin University in North Chicago, Illinois. He went on to complete a comprehensive surgical residency training program at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio, a level-1 trauma center, where he served as chief resident. From there, he completed a fellowship in advanced reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at the Washington Orthopaedic Center in Centralia, Washington.
