About Me:

A specialist in family medicine, Dr. MacEvoy is a primary care doctor with Legacy Medical Group - Tualatin. Dr. MacEvoy earned his medical degree from Tufts University in Boston where he concurrently completed a professional degree in health care business administration. His residency and internship were completed at Wake Forest University Medical Center in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Dr. MacEvoy enjoys the full scope of family medicine from pediatrics to geriatrics including women's health. He takes a special interest in group visits, sustainable healthcare, chronic disease management, weight loss, and healthy aging. Outside of medicine he enjoys a wide variety of activities including hiking, cycling, foreign languages, reading, and pursuing his goal of one day completing an Ironman race.

It's been 3 business days since my visit but it doesn't appear my Rx have been sent to the pharmacy.

Very god visit. I appreciated the help the doctor gave to me relative to a problem with a small toe and photos he shared on the computer with me in terms of options and that he gave me a plan for dealing with this issue.

As always in the past several years, Legacy Health IS A MESS. Understaffed, often confused and frustrating to deal with. Having to wait 6 months to see Dr. MacEvoy is ridiculous and we are usually left able to see only a PA who may or may not be fully qualified to help. Getting to see specialists is a real mixed bag -- I've had some VERY poor outcomes in this regard. American Healthcare since COVID is a step back into the dark ages and clearly the health insurance companies are a disgrace.

Did not appreciate assistant attempting to limit my medical access. What needs to be discussed is between myself and my provider.

Unable to make appointments with Dr MacEvoy without a 3 month wait. I have to see his PA for problems that I need seen faster.

His admin duties make it nearly imossible to see him in a reasonable time. I usually have to agree wo see a PA which s sub-optyimal for me as PAs and NPs are not my PCP.

Called prior to appointment because I had a cough and a hoarse voice to see If I needed to reschedule or have a phone appointment. The first and only question I was asked is Did I take a COVID test. I wasn't asked about any other symptoms. I was very frustrated. I waited for a call back and was finally told my husband and I could come in but we needed to "sit on the bench" away from the other patients. We were happy to do that and were pleased to see Dr Macevoy.

Was very difficult to make an appointment for an annual physical This was 4 months overdue for annual physical The actual visit today went well. Coincidentally I had an acute injury 72+ hrs prior to this visit , my doctor appropriately addressed my needs questions as the ER MD recommended to discuss today Changes in lab services ie tri monthly A1C, affecting my health maintenance were explained also

Dr MacEvoy's "pep talks" about exercising or diet are always pleasant and informative, never in a scolding or berating tone of voice!

Doctor is very good. Case load is prohibitive in getting a timely appointment. Waited 4 months for a routine visit.

Facility needs more doctors. I shouldn't have to schedule my annual appointment 8 months in advance!!!

Unusually long waiting time & no explanation. 50 minutes. Usually am seen in 15 min or less. Everything else was excellent.
