Dr. George Bengtson believes that pediatrics offers more miracles per unit of time than any other field in medicine. He feels fortunate to be present in his patients’ lives from the moment they take their first breath to the day they tackle AP Calculus. As a generalist who is curious about everything, pediatrics is a perfect fit for Dr. Bengtson. His favorite moments in the clinic are the unexpected ones, like offering a four-year-old a chance to listen to their own heartbeat through a stethoscope and watching their eyes go wide with wonder. Those small moments of grace are what keep him going.
