Neurological Surgery, Board-certified

About Me:

Dr. Thind is fellowship-trained with a focus on general cranial and spinal neurosurgery and a special interest in minimally invasive and navigated spine surgery. She is passionate about education and helping patients understand their conditions and treatment options so decisions are made together and individualized to patients’ needs. “My goal in patient care is the well-being of my patient – truly the patient comes first,” she said. “This means ensuring I provide them with the education they need to understand their condition, as well as the options available to treat their condition, so that we together can make decisions that are best for their unique situation."

Training: She graduated with a degree in behavioral neuroscience from Lehigh University in Pennsylvania and received her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine, along with her master’s degree in public health with a concentration in global health from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Dr. Thind completed her first three years of residency training in neurological surgery at the State University of New York at Buffalo and additional residency training at the University of California Davis, where she also completed subspecialty training with a neurological surgery spine fellowship focused on minimally invasive and robot-assisted spine surgeries.
