About Me:

Miriam provides compassionate midwifery care to people throughout the lifespan, from teens having their first gynecologic visit to menopausal people seeking to optimize their health and wellness. She believes her role is to be a guide to help people make the best choices for their health, their families, and their communities. She especially enjoys providing gentle pelvic exams, helping patients choose the best birth control method for them, facilitating prenatal care groups, and of course, "catching babies". Prior to becoming a nurse-midwife, she worked as a doula at San Francisco General Hospital and at a birth center in Chiapas, Mexico. She is fluent in Spanish. When she's not working, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, 2 kids, and lovable dog Scrappy.
