About Me:

Dr. Paula Folger is a primary care geriatrician, new to Legacy Medical Group-Raleigh Hills. She has been a long-time internist and geriatrician at Legacy Good Samaritan, previously working as medical director of several skilled nursing facilities in the Portland area and in a small geriatric primary care practice. She is also Program Director for Legacy Emanuel and Good Samaritan Internal Medicine Residency Program. She is delighted with the opportunity to be transitioning her clinical practice to geriatric primary care at Raleigh Hills. Dr. Folger received her medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. She performed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Legacy Health, and fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at Oregon Health and Science University. Dr. Folger continues to be an active member of the geriatric medical community and is eager to be welcoming patients 70 years and older, or those with medical needs associated with aging

Every person - from the physician to her team members - were very professional & helpful. I never felt rushed with my responses and never felt these individuals were feeling rushed or in a hurry to move on.

Dr. Folger is an excellent physican.My medical circumstances are very complex and treatment plan for one condition poses problems for another condition with no clear cut outcome.Dr. Folger Is very collaborative,knowledgeable and caring In my efforts to sort out best plan for me.

As always Dr Folger was compassionate, listened to my health concerns and acted upon my concerns, ordering blood work which indicated a need for further followup testing. I trust her judgment and feel lucky to have her as my primary physician.

Most of the visit was with a Resident, but Dr Folger attended at the end and overall I think we covered necessary health issues but I do find this distracting. Fortunately, Dr Folger is very responsive if I have followup questions on email

A+ PCP! DR.Folger is consistently kind, smart and very thoughtful in addressing my mother's multiple needs. She Is always respectful and puts Mom as the focus of her attention in spite of her dementia and confusion. I especially appreciate her thoroughness and tackling multiple concerns at one visit because it is difficult to transport her to appointments. Her support staff is equally kind and provides great communication and follow-up.

Dr. Folger was able to elicit from my father his anxiety about the potential for continued physical decline. It was an amazing interaction. Truly a special moment -I feel lucky to have been there.

Excellent physician! Very well informed about Mom's health issues and provided thoughtful and sensible solutions. Very personable and quickly engaged Mom in the visit, listened to herConcerns and interests and put her at ease. Dr. Folger communicates with ALF as needed and is always quick to answer to questions.She has a kind and responsive staff as well.

Dr, Folger is one of the best physicians I have ever had. I feel that, whatever health issues I may have, she will help me through them. Everyone in her office is courteous and efficient. I feel safe and supported. I just hope that she does not retire!
