About Me:

Dr. Jhooty received his medical degree from the SUNY Health Science Center in Syracuse, New York. He completed both his residency in Internal Medicine and his fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at SUNY in Buffalo, New York. Dr. Jhooty specializes in general cardiology with a particular interest in diagnostic imaging, congestive heart failure and pulmonary hypertension.

my initial appointment offered was over 2 months away even though I was sympathetic. my primary doctor communicated directly to Dr Jhooty to make an earlier visit.

Dr Jhooty is my Cardiologist. He has always been excellent in his treatment and care for my cardio needs. In fact, basically I would call him a life saver.

Dr. Jahooty has been my Cardiologist since [date removed] when he played a vital role in keeping me alive. He has one of the best personalities/bedside and in office. He always listens and has the right answer. He alerts me to new options and equipment that could make my life easier and risk free. I wish every doctor could be as good as DR. Jahooty.

Scheduling was difficult 1 1/2 wait - drove 30 minutes to appt. Said they called to change. I had no record of this on my phone. Made new appt. 2 weeks later - arrive for appt. to be told they had called to make it a virtual appt. No record on my phone. So upsetting!!! Asked to use a room so I could still have a video call. Maybe? Comes back after checking and says the doctor is here and will see me. Very strange 2 TIMES?? It feels like someone is not doing their job!

Good experience eve when discussing very serious issues. Dr. Jhooty listens and he is very knowledgeable and confident. I feel very fortunate to have him for my cardio dr.

I find the health care at Legacy to meet my expectations. However, when I arrived for my 11:20 appt. at 11:24 the receptionist indicated that, since I was late that she needed to check to confirm that Dr. Jhooty would still see me. I have not issues with asking a substantially tardy patient to reschedule. I do have a problem with the fact that the first time I saw this provider a month earlier at about mid-day, I had to wait 45 minutes in the exam room for him to arrive. Upon his arrival, no apology or explanation was offered. Bottom line: if your providers are going to have strict protocols regarding tardiness of 4 minutes, I think the same should apply to providers. I worked in health care for 30 years and understand that doctors sometimes run late. Fine. Please offer patients the same flexibility. I was grateful that the provider was still willing to see me the day of my appointment. Thank you for seeking input. My comments are meant to be constructive in nature, particularly as I am pleased with the health care received.

Happy to have office visit - last one was a telephone appointment - much different - was allowed 1 person to go with me - Receptionist was not friendly and used a tone of voice that bothered me she was alone when we came in - 2nd lady came later - no contact with her - the inside staff was pleasant and smiling.

Dr. J ., Dr.Meta who I saw inthe hall along with the nurse manager of the angio suite, Charles in the office and the whole team are good people ...they are interested in me as a patient and my family not just the medical part...medicine is about the whole person and I feel that is their focus and why I come to Emanuel......
