Dr. Merchant has always been passionate about reproductive justice and ensuring access to healthcare for all. She enjoys providing comprehensive family planning, gender affirming care, and complete obstetric care. For Dr. Merchant, the best part of her job is getting to know her patients and creating and building relationships with them. Dr. Merchant was born and raised on the east coast, where she grew up in a South Asian community. She also speaks Hindi and Urdu. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and adorable dog, Marley. She loves to cook, eat, travel, read, and dive into a new TV series. She is excited to explore the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest and make her way through all the food trucks in Portland!
