About Me:

Dr. Shirai is a board-certified family medicine physician. He earned his medical degree from University of North Texas Health Science Center where he graduated with honors. He completed his family medicine training at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Dr. Shirai is originally from Kanazawa, Japan and moved to the U.S. as a teenager. His clinical interests include preventive care, acute care, and chronic disease management. In addition to outpatient training, he has had strong inpatient medicine exposure during training that helped him become a well-rounded physician. He enjoys taking care of patients of all ages, getting to know them on a personal level, and forming long-term relationships with them. Outside of work, Dr Shirai enjoys fishing, cooking, hiking, and traveling/trying different restaurants with his wife.
