About Me:

Dr. Germaine is a neuroimmunologist that specializes in the treatment of multiple sclerosis (MS) and other demyelinating and autoimmune diseases of the central nervous system. She first developed an interest in the field of neuroimmunology in medical school when a few close friends developed MS, becoming excited about the recent advancements in research, and the positive impact new treatments can have on MS patients. Dr. Germaine completed her medical school training in Oregon at Western University of Health Science, COMP-NW prior to completing neurology residency at University of Connecticut and a MS/Neuroimmunology fellowship at University of Utah. Her prior research was focused on MS related trigeminal neuralgia and hopes to bring larger clinical trials to Legacy Health in the future to introduce new disease modifying therapy options. She additionally gets great satisfaction in providing comprehensive multidisciplinary care to all her neuroimmunology patients.

It was a great experience on the day of the visit. My experience in getting the appointment was challenging - it took multiple phone calls over multiple months to be allowed to schedule the appointment. I understand that access is a problem and perhaps my situation wasn't deemed "high priority" by whoever decides that, but it was very off putting as a new patient to the specialty. That being said Dr. Germaine Is truly a gift and I so appreciate her time and expertise in trying to help me with my situation.

This provider is a specialist, and it took 3 months to get an appointment. I called several times. I finally got this appointment because of a cancellation. I think I was called, because, I had been calling to make sure I can get an appointment, and was fresh on people's minds.

I was SO impressed by Dr. Germaine's preparation for my appointment. She knew my past hx so well. She was respectful- listening to my concerns. I have never felt my medical concerns were ever acknowledged and addressed as fully as she did. I felt heard and appreciated she worked to come up with a plan for treatment including me in the process. She won my total trust

Receptionist did not remind me to take a parking receipt. Didn't receive doctor's notes before leaving nor get instructions on how to obtain them online.

This visit went smooth with NO problems at all. It was AWESOME to see Dr. Germaine. Finally, I got to see a doctor that knows more about my health problems then I do. Dr. Germaine knows her practice well, and shows that she wants to provide the absolute best care for me.
