As a provider, Dr. Kiwalkar focuses on empowering patients with information about their medical condition so that they can help make informed decisions about their health. She manages a full range of rheumatologic concerns, but has a special interest in axial spondyloarthritis, rheumatic adverse events of cancer immunotherapy agents, and medical education. Dr. Kiwalkar earned her medical degree at Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College in Pune, India. She completed a residency and chief residency in internal medicine at Rochester General Hospital in Rochester, New York. She completed her rheumatology fellowship at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon. She is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology.
