First time seeing Dr. Shimanek, as my primary care had a medical emergency. All I can say is that I am and was so grateful and appreciative of how Dr. Shimanek stepped in to care. He is such an amazing and great doctor who knows his bedside manner. Thank you again for caring for us. You are exceptional.

The doctor spent along time with me (over 1 1/2 hours), doing different exams, asking me questions, looking things up on the computer, talking about prior and future treatments/plans. He was very thorough and genuinely cared about me and my concerns and treatment going forward! My husband and I both were very impressed with the amount of time he took with me, to make sure my concerns were addressed. I never felt like he was rushing through the appointment to get to the next patient! He is a very good doctor, and compassionate.
