An open letter to our patients and communities 

As we reflect on the year coming to a close, we want to take a moment to speak directly to you and thank you for the trust you place in Legacy Health.

This year brought challenges across health care, and we experienced moments of uncertainty along the way. Like many healthcare organizations, we continue to navigate workforce challenges, financial pressures and evolving community needs.

Through it all, one truth that has remained constant: Legacy Health is here for good. Here for you.

We have always been here for our patients and for the communities we serve. As a local nonprofit health system, Legacy Health provides comprehensive primary, secondary and tertiary care across the Portland and Vancouver metro area and the mid-Willamette Valley. Our mission is to make this a safer, healthier place for everyone, and that commitment has not changed.

Legacy Health remains strong, independent and deeply rooted in the communities we serve. When we say Legacy Health is here for good, we mean that the work we do every day is for the good of our patients and communities, today and for years to come. It means continuing to invest in quality, safety and access, and ensuring that care is delivered with integrity, dignity and respect.

None of this would be possible without the trust you place in our providers, nurses, care teams and support staff. Your partnership and belief allow us to continue serving you and making a meaningful difference in the lives of those who depend on us

We are also deeply grateful to our philanthropic donors, whose generosity helps us provide programs and services that otherwise might not be available to patients and families in our communities.

As we look ahead to the coming year, we do so with humility, resolve and optimism. We will continue listening, learning and improving, guided by our mission and by the needs of our patient and community members like you.
