Steven L. Mansberger, MD, MPH is Chair, Senior Scientist, and Director of ophthalmic clinical trials for Legacy Devers Eye Institute in Portland, Oregon. He is also Co-Director of the glaucoma fellowship program and director of the glaucoma service. He holds appointments at Oregon Health Science University (OHSU) as Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology and Public Health and Preventive Medicine.

Dr. Mansberger has been continuously funded by the National Eye Institute since 2000 with over 30 other research grants including foundations and industry. He has won numerous awards including “Best Doctors in Portland, OR”, “Best Doctors in America”, Heed Fellowship, The Robert Watske Ophthalmology Instructor of the Year, American Glaucoma Society Clinician-Scientist award, among others. He is on the Editorial Boards of Journal of Glaucoma and American Journal of Ophthalmology, and is the Section Editor for epidemiology/glaucoma at American Journal of Ophthalmology. He is an invited reviewer for Archives of Ophthalmology, British Journal of Ophthalmology, Ophthalmology, Investigative Ophthalmology and Visual Science, Survey of Ophthalmology, as well as multiple other journals. He has authored over 300 journal articles, book chapters, and abstracts.

 

Robert M. Kinast

Dr. Kinast is Vice-Chair of Ophthalmology and a Clinician Scientist at the Legacy Devers Eye Institute. He invented the GentleDrop Eye Drop Guide, the iD2 eye drop adherence monitor, and a tube implant with magnetically controlled flow. His research has been NIH-funded for the past 10 years. He has served as an Investigator for the Clarifying the Optimal Application of SLT Therapy (COAST), Ocular Hypertension Treatment Study (OHTS), and STTR Phase I and SBIR Phase II studies. His research focuses include medication adherence, medical devices, selective laser trabeculoplasty, mitomycin compounding, and patient satisfaction. He is also the residency site director and Co-Director of the glaucoma fellowship at the Arthur Devers Memorial Clinic, which provides indigent ophthalmic care in Portland, OR.

 

Zoey Stoumbos

Glaucoma Specialist, Legacy Devers Eye Institute

Dr. Stoumbos is a fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist with expertise in the medical, laser, and surgical management of glaucoma, including minimally invasive glaucoma surgery. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Glaucoma Society. Dr. Stoumbos has a strong drive to serve others and is motivated by the relationships she creates with her patients. She has a special interest in caring for under-served populations, and has provided medical care around the world, including Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, and Nepal. She also directs the Thorny Issues in Ophthalmology meeting in Portland, OR.
