Legacy Employee Health Plan transition to Aetna and JudiRx
As previously communicated, the Legacy Employee Health Plan (LEHP) will transition to new plan administrators effective Jan. 1, 2027.
Beginning in 2027, Aetna will serve as the medical plan administrator and JudiRx will serve as the pharmacy benefit manager for LEHP members. The LEHP will remain Legacy's self-funded health plan, and annual deductibles, maximums, copays and coinsurance levels will remain unchanged.
The transition is expected to have minimal impact on most members. Based on current analysis, fewer than 2% of enrolled members are expected to experience disruption related to provider network or prescription drug formulary changes.
Most LHP providers are already contracted with Aetna through existing arrangements. The provider network strategy for the Legacy Employee Health Plan is not changing and will continue to leverage Legacy Medical Group and LHP providers, along with additional providers where needed to ensure network coverage and access to care.
Legacy employees are receiving online access to:
- Verify whether their providers participate in the Aetna network.
- Review medication coverage, formulary tiers and copays through JudiRx.
To help avoid disruption in care, continuity-of-care protections will be available for members with certain active treatment needs whose provider or medication may be affected by the transition. In addition, all prior authorizations in effect as of Dec. 31, 2026, will be honored.
