Bariatric surgery fellowship
The bariatric surgery fellowship is an educational program focused on the rapidly growing field of minimally invasive surgery and bariatrics, or the surgical treatment of morbidly obese patients. The fellow learns the surgical techniques and clinical skill necessary for the care and long-term follow-up of bariatric patients. In addition, the fellow is trained in clinical bariatric research.
Begun in 2004, Legacy's bariatric fellowship is a one-year program with one fellow per year, and is fully accredited by the Fellowship Council.
