At Legacy Rehabilitation Institute of Oregon, located within Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center, we create personalized rehabilitation plans designed to deliver the highest quality care for every patient.
Our full-service program offers:
- 24-hour rehabilitation nursing care, with a low patient-to-nurse ratio
- An expert team of board-certified physiatrists (rehabilitation doctors), certified rehabilitation registered nurses and therapists with advanced certifications
- Physical, occupational, recreational and speech therapists as well as social work/care management and rehab neuropsychology services
- State-of-the art equipment including the ZeroG® gait and balance training system
- Internationally recognized horticulture therapy program
- Accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF)
- Inpatient rehab unit within a hospital with access to urgent or emergent services

In order to meet admission criteria, patients will:
- Require coordinated care from an interdisciplinary team, including rehabilitation physician, nurses, therapists and other specialists
- Needs active medical management with supervision from a rehabilitation physician at least 3 days per week
- Requires 24-hour a day rehabilitation nursing service
- Be able to tolerate at least 3 hours of combined therapy a day, 5 days per week, from two or more therapy disciplines
- Be agreeable to participate in the rehab program
- Expect to benefit from the rehab program with the goal of returning to the community
